The Amazing Mr. Williams (1939)

1h. 20min. // Kenny Williams is a lieutenant in the homicide division and is in a relationship with Maxine Carroll, who works as the Mayor’s secretary. However, it seems like his commitment to his job is stronger than his commitment to their relationship. Whenever he plans to spend time with Maxine, his duties as a police officer always get in the way. Maxine becomes desperate and decides to take matters into her own hands by pushing Kenny to marry her. The question remains: Will Maxine’s charm and beauty win over Kenny’s dedication to fighting crime?
